Carlisle Intangible Company has obtained a patent for a sealant composition comprised of a binder comprised of a residual pitch product that is a by-product of a wood pulping process; and an elastomeric material in an amount effective to provide non-linear elasticity to the sealant composition; and a filler material in an amount of between 11 volume percent and a67 volume percent of the sealant composition, wherein the sealant composition is substantially free of water.
